5.9 Million Watch MLB – The New Yok Yankees and Chicago White Sox played the first official MLB game at the ‘Field of Dreams’ Ball Park.
The park set among Dyersville’s corn fields was created to replicate the iconic 1989 movie starring Kevin Costner. They built it and they did come with the largest watched regular season game in over 16 years. The White Sox walked away with the 9-8 win, but everyone was a winner at the event – especially the networks and league.

Originally planned in 2020 the game was delayed due to CoVid restrictions. The MLB Commissioner was chuffed at the success and confirmed the league would return to play another at the ‘field of dreams’.
