Signing a one year deal with the Florida Panthers, Joe Thornton is in pursuit of his first Stanley Cup at the age of 42. Now in his 24th NHL year he is the 14th all time point scorer with 1529. All players ahead of him are Hall Of Famer’s. Thornton looked on last year as the Panthers got the second consecutive Stanley Cup Title and he approached the Panthers to try and be part of the team in the upcoming season.
Looking at the team on paper Thornton says he just loves it. Thornton has done all there is to do in hockey except win that Stanley Cup which is motivating him to have his career best season in order to achieve it.
