Brewers Acquire John Axford For $1 Trade

The John Axford trade is the third time since 2011 the Brewers have made a $1 trade and are hoping that this will be third time lucky.  38 year old Axford was a great closer when playing for Milwaukee in 2011 but has not pitched in the majors since 2018.  His pitch is currently clocked up to 98mph and the stats for his 9 game stint with the Buffalo Bisons were impressive recently.
