Leading up to UFC 266 Volkanovski who is usually quit and respectful has been vocal about his dislike for Ortega. At the Friday night pre-fight press conference Vokanovski said taking performance drugs did not sit well before firing off at Ortega saying, “You don’t deserve to be here. You’re a f**kin’ drug cheat. That’s it, done.”
In 2015 Ortega was banned for nine months for taking drotanolone, Volkanovski has mentioned Ortega’s unprofessionalism a few times before the fight and is mission set on destroying, not just beating in the fight this Sunday.
