Oct. 12 Tampa Bay Lightning hosting Pittsburgh Penguins

Penguins have the tough mission of facing the defending champions in their home opener. The Lightning set out the campaign for the third title in a row and even if they are at risk of playing without the support of fans, they are motivated to start their road to a new championship with a victory against Crosby’s team.

Oct. 13 Vegas Golden Knights hosting Seattle Kraken

This game can be considered the game of newbies. Kraken will play their first ever game in NHL being the newest league member. The Knights entered the league in 2017 and have already accumulated some experience. In spite of Knights being in NHL for longer, Kraken make a strong claim for their first game, having already stocked their roast with some talents at the Expansion Draft.

Oct. 14 Buffalo Sabres hosting Montreal Canadians

Keep your eyes on this match to witness the possible debut of the NHL Draft No. 1 Owen Power for the Sabres. Being 18 years of age, Power proves excellent skills in this season, having scored 16 points at the University of Michigan. He can add significant momentum to the Sabres if he signs the contract and makes the roster for their Oct. 14 opener.

Oct. 26 Colorado Avalanche hosting Vegas Golden Knights

This is going to be a breath-taking rematch of the previous season’s playoff. The teams met in the second round of playoffs in the 2020-2021 regular season where Colorado took the lead winning the first two games and Vegas caught up in a champion manner claiming victories in the next four games and securing a spot in the next round.

Dec. 1 Edmonton Oilers hosting Pittsburgh Penguins

The show in this game will be stolen by the clash of titans. Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid – two of the most skilled and dynamic NHL players – have combined won four NHL MVP titles and their face-to-face meeting promises to be spectacular as always.

Dec. 7 Montreal Canadiens hosting Tampa Bay Lightning

This is one of the most expected NHL games 2021. Canadiens and Lightning have played in the 2021 Stanley Cup final so this will be a rematch of their clash where Canadiens will try to break the streak of wins of Tampa Bay champions. This will be their first match in the new season out of three.

Dec. 23 Calgary Flames hosting Seattle Kraken

In this game, all eyes will be on Mark Giordano. Before being claimed by Seattle at the Expansion Draft, he played 15 seasons for Calgary – eight of which as captain – where he scored 509 points in 949 games. Now he comes back to Calgary, but not as captain of the host team but as a player of the opposite team.

Jan. 6 Vegas Golden Knights hosting New York Rangers

Another must-see emotional comeback with Gerard Gallant being the central figure. He returns to Vegas as a coach after being fired in 2020. On June 16 he signed the contract with New York Rangers after coaching no team for several months. Gallant coached Knights for three seasons and in all of them he lead the team to playoffs, with the 2018 final being the highest result achieved.

Feb. 26 Nashville Predators hosting Tampa Bay Lightning

A winter classic game that always sparks the interest of fans. For Lightning it is a special match as it’s their first ever outdoor clash in a regular season. The game will be held in Nashville at the Nissan Stadium.

Mar. 3 Chicago Blackhawks hosting Edmonton Oilers

Duncan Keith has played 1,192 regular-season games for Chicago and now he returns to play against them. It was on July 12 2021 that Keith bid farewell to Blackhawks and joined Oilers. He was 16 seasons with Chicago, helping the team to win three Stanley Cups. Also, he is one of the greatest players in the history of Blackhawks, making the top 10 in terms of games played, goals scored and assists.
