Boston Red Sox
After blowing Opening day, the Sox came back and won the next three games against the Rays. However, they must still upgrade their bullpen.
New York Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays
After losing their first two games of the season to the Yankees, the Blue Jays rebounded with two straight wins, thanks to Justin Smoak. He needs to have another huge year in Toronto.
Starting pitching is going to be a huge problem for the Orioles and they must find a way to improve it.
Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays had a surprising comeback win on Opening Day, but returned to form, losing the next three. The last three games will be a trend for the Rays in 2018.
Chicago White Sox
The Indians dropped two of their first three games, but it is nothing to worry about. Soon enough, they will be right back on top of the division.
The Twins lost on Opening Day due to an Adam Jones walk-off home run, but took the next two against the Orioles. Minnesota had a nice offseason and will be in the Wildcard running once again in 2018.
Kansas City Royals
This is not the Royals World Series team from just three years ago. Kansas City is going to struggle and will be lucky to hover around .500.
The Tigers are going to be in the running for worst team in the MLB. They have showed it thus far and there is no reason to wonder why that would change.
The Astros were the World Series champions last season and will once again be very good in 2018. It will not be surprising to see them in the World Series again with their loaded pitching.
Los Angeles Angels
The Angels have the best player in baseball in Mike Trout and possibly their best team since he has been on the team. Ohtani also pitched very well in his debut on Sunday.
The Mariners took an impressive two out of three game from the Indians to open the season. Will this finally be the year everything clicks in Seattle? I have my doubts, but are off to a good start.
The A’s are most likely going to be at the bottom of the division when the season comes to a close in September. There is nothing that gives you hope for a surprise year.
If it wasn’t for the A’s, the Rangers would wind up in last place. The Rangers aren’t that good and won’t be able to compete with the Astros, Angels, and Mariners.
