Free agency and trades have made plenty of NFL teams look vastly different then when we saw them last in action. That means it’s time to make way to early power rankings based on new team looks.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
This choice is obvious, as they are well balanced with plenty of star power on both sides of the ball.
2. New England Patriots
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
After being heavy spenders in last years free agency, Jacksonville has been at it again adding to their already stacked roster.
4. Los Angelos Rams
The Rams have added to their promising young roster through free agency, and if they somehow convince Ndamakung Sue to sing with them, they could rival the Eagles for best overall roster.
5. Minnesota Viking
With new QB Kirk Cousins leading an explosive offense with a great defense to back him up, the Vikings are in a great position to contend for the Super Bowl next year.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers
7. Green Bay Packers
8. New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees took less money to stay with the Saints and with plenty of playmakers around him on offense, and a young emerging defense, New Orleans should be a dangerous team in 2018.
9. Atlanta Falcons
There is so much talent on this team they just have to figure out how to be more consistent. Getting WR Julio Jones the ball in the end zone would be a good start.
10. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have had a rock solid defense for years that always keeps them in games. It would be nice if they could find a few more weapons for QB Cam Newton to throw to next year.
11. Los Angelos Chargers
12. Kansas City Chiefs
13. San Fransisco 49ers
The 49ers went 1-10 before QB Jimmy Garrapolo took over as starter. They finished 6-10 and as one of the hottest commodities in the NFL.
14. Houston Texans
The Texans are teaming with potential, and if there stars stay HEALTHY they could be 2018’s breakout team.
15. Tennessee Titans
After narrowly making the playoffs last season, the Titans have added several quality players in free agency.
16. Detroit Lions
The Lions have been on the verge of the playoffs for years, and as long as they have QB Matt Stafford they have a shot.
17. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have a tough defense, and the addition of WR Michael Crabtree should give the offense a much needed boost.
18. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo proved they don’t need to have the best roster in the NFL to compete last season, and I believe new QB Aj McCarron is better then people give him credit for.
19. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have lost the majority of the “Legion of Boom”and Russell Wilson can’t continue to do it all himself on offense.
20. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders were a disappointment last season, but they still have the talent to rocket up this list.
21. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have questions on offense, and a leaky defense.
22. Washington Redskins
The Redskins lost their franchise QB and their most talented young defensive player this offseason.
23. Denver Broncos
The Broncos still have a ton of talent on defense, but they need new QB Case Keenum to play like he did with Minnesota if they are to have any shot in the AFC West.
24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs need QB Jameis Winston to take a step forward after regressing a bit last season.
25. Chicago Bears
There is plenty to be optomistic about for the Bears, however we need to see how Trubisky and company play together before they go up this list.
26. New York Giants
The Giants still have the talent on both sides of the ball to make a push for the playoffs, however last seasons disaster has me seriously questioning this team.
27. Arizona Cardinals
This team is getting older and there are serious question marks at QB.
28. New York Jets
The Jets overachieved last season, and they have one of the weakest rosters in the NFL.
29. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals are a franchise going downhill and bringing back head coach Marvin Lewis was questionable at best.
30. Cleveland Browns
The Browns have made some great off-season moves and shouldn’t have to worry about going 0-16 next year.
31. Indianapolis Colts
The franchise depends on the health of Andrew Luck. If Luck is healthy they always have a shot.
32. Miami Dolphins
There isn’t much talent on this team and I don’t see things getting much better anytime soon.
